Amphenol Industrial RADSOK® PowerBlok™ Wire to Board connectors use patented RADSOK contact technology to meet increasing power requirements of printed circuit boards (PCB) and the need for a smaller board footprint. The RADSOK PowerBlok is offered in vertical or horizontal mating planes as single-point contact terminals and gives the versatility needed when component placement decisions are crucial. With the addition of a removable lock housing, mating to the board can remain intact under harsh vibration environments.

RADSOK® Power to Board Connectors

Amphenol Industrial RADSOK® Power to Board Connectors bring more power with three high amperage products: PowerBlok™, RADSERT™, and PGY™. This RADSOK solution offers many options for high-current, single-point connections to printed circuit boards. The hyperbolic grid contact provides more surface area with many points of contact for heat dissipation at the pin and socket interface. This lowers temperature rise and reduces potential failures. The compact footprint design supplies up to 200A to the board, which preserves surface area and offers flexibility in board design. Amphenol Industrial RADSOK® Power to Board Connectors are designed to be applied manually via press-fit or reflow solder process, eliminating the need for additional wires and/or special crimp tools.

RADSOK® Connectors

Amphenol Industrial RADSOK® Connectors upgrade many core connectors by simply adding the RADSOK advantage. RADial SOcKet (RADSOK) is a socket cylinder within a female contact that has several equally spaced longitudinal beams twisted into a hyperbolic shape. As the male pin is inserted, axial members in the female half deflect, imparting high current flow across the connection with minimal voltage loss. The configuration ensures a large, coaxial, face-to-face surface area engagement and is ideal for crimp termination applications requiring repeated mating cycles and high current with a low millivolt drop. Amphenol connectors using RADSOK technology include Amphe-GTR Reverse Bayonet Connectors for Power Applications, PowerBus Amphe-PD™ Connectors, Amphe-Power® Connectors, board level connectors such as PowerBlok™, RADSERT™, and PGY™, SurLok Connectors, and Helios H4 Solar Connectors.
