LED Lighting Solutions

Littelfuse LED Lighting Solutions support all facets of the LED lighting market with innovative solutions that not only meet regulatory standards but also increase equipment safety and reliability. To help protect end-users, Littelfuse works closely with many LED driver IC suppliers, to ensure their evaluation boards and reference designs comply with safety and surge immunity requirements. They also assist LED lighting power supply manufacturers in designing optimal protection schemes for their driver modules. At the OEM level, they cooperate with luminaire and lamp manufacturers to ensure their products are optimally designed for robust surge immunity protection.

Electrical Vehicle AC Chargers

Littelfuse provides a wide range of products that are suitable for Electric Vehicle AC Chargers. Although simpler in nature compared to DC chargers, AC charging stations safely deliver AC power from the electrical grid into the vehicle. Due to space and weight constraints in the vehicle, on-board chargers and AC charging stations are typically limited to lower amounts of power (22kW or less), which means charging time is slow – taking several hours. These systems also rely on a vehicle’s on-board charger to enable the conversion of AC power from the grid into DC power to charge the vehicle’s battery. It’s critical that proper measures are taken to safeguard both the charger and vehicle.

AC/DC Power Supply

Littelfuse AC/DC Power Supply is a commonly used building block in electronic designs. The components in these power supply building blocks need to be reliable and long-lasting, and Littelfuse offers a range of products that fit those requirements. This portfolio of components covers overcurrent and overvoltage protection, the power stage, and output protection. Typical applications for Littelfuse AC/DC Power Supply products include automotive, solar, industrial, manufacturing, and more.

ESD Protection Solutions

Littelfuse provides a wide range of products that protect components from ESD threats. ESD threats are extremely fast, low-energy events that can wreak havoc on electronic equipment. Trends in reduced chip protection and harsher end-user environments are requiring the need for enhanced protection solutions. Littelfuse produces varistors, suppressors, indicators, and more so users can find the right protection to ensure the long-term reliable operation of applications.

Communications Infrastructure Solutions

Littelfuse provides a wide range of communication infrastructure solutions that ensure speed and reliability in all environments. These solutions are energy efficient, dependable, and easy to incorporate into compact designs. Communication infrastructure solutions from Littelfuse include TVS diodes, varistors, NTC thermistors, fuses, and more.

Medical Equipment Solutions

Littelfuse Medical Equipment Solutions provide robust designed and quality components needed to help with reliable operating and equipment up-time. These solutions include ventilators, defibrillator, and ultrasounds. Littelfuse Medical Equipment Solutions are ideal for life support systems, patient care equipment, and patient monitoring systems.

UltraMOV 7mm Varistors

Littelfuse UltraMOV 7mm Varistors meet high peak surge current rating requirements with an operating voltage range compatible with common AC line voltages (130VAC to 625VAC). These metal oxide varistors are available in various lead forms and are rated for ambient temperatures up to +85°C with no derating. The lead-free, 7mm varistors feature operate at temperatures up to +125°C and are characterized for maximum standby current (leakage). These features make the Littelfuse 7mm UltraMOV varistor series ideal for AC line voltage applications, LED lighting applications, and more.

Varistors

Littelfuse Varistors are protective devices that offer several important features, such as overvoltage protection, peak current ratings from 20A to 70,000A, and peak energy ratings from 0.01J to 10,000J. The mounting options serve a wide range of applications. Littelfuse Varistors also offer many form factor and protection ranges, rugged cost-effective protection, thermal protection options, and RoHS compliance.

Electrical Vehicle DC Fast Chargers

DC charging stations are designed to convert the electrical grid’s AC power into DC power that can then be fed directly into a vehicle’s battery system for fast charging – in 30 minutes or less. Because the conversion from AC to DC power is being done in the charging station, these units can provide higher levels of power (50kW to 350kW and beyond) to the vehicle compared to AC charging stations. Working with tens to hundreds of kilowatts of power, efficient conversion, reliability of the system, and user safety are critical.

Solutions for Infrared Motion Detectors

Littelfuse offers protect, control, and sensing solutions to ensure robust, reliable designs of infrared motion detectors that will result in fewer field failures and a more cost-effective and profitable product. Smart homes and buildings are benefitting from intelligent technologies that enable them to be safer, more convenient, and energy-efficient. Infrared motion detectors combine convenience, safety, and energy conservation. Infrared motion detectors sense occupancy in an area that can then activate lighting, the HVAC system, or the alarm.

General Port Protection Solutions

Littelfuse General Port Protection provides a wide array of solutions for power and communication ports. Ports need protection from common electrical hazards such as lightning surges, induced power surges, power cross, electrical fast transient, electrostatic discharge, and short-circuits due to aging wires or installation errors. Littelfuse General Port Protection products are ideal for automotive, building automation, consumer electronics, and industrial applications.

LV UltraMOV™ Varistors

Littelfuse LV UltraMOV™ Varistors offer up to a 10kA current rating, an 11VAC to 95VAC voltage range, and a 14VDC to 125VDC range. These devices are available in packages ranging from 5mm to 23mm. UltraMOV varistors are ideal for applications requiring high peak surge current ratings and high energy absorption capability. These varistors are intended for products that require voltage clamping of high transient surge currents from sources such as lightning, inductive load switching, or capacitor bank switching.
