Semtech HS2240P and HS2950P HotSwitch® Protection ICs are designed to protect against various electrical overstress (EOS) conditions, including lightning, electrostatic discharges (ESD), short circuits, and inrush current. The HotSwitch ICs are highly-integrated power switches connected with the main power rail to turn a load on and off as needed by the application. These devices detect electrical surges and provide robust security to the downstream subsystem by gracefully disconnecting the load from the power source.
