CNY Series High Isolation Voltage Optocouplers

Vishay Semiconductors CNY Series High Isolation Voltage Optocouplers are category IV high voltage isolation optocouplers available in a surface mount package. The high isolation voltage SMD version optocouplers consist of a phototransistor optically coupled to a gallium arsenide infrared-emitting diode in a 4 pin plastic package. The single components are mounted opposite one another, providing a distance between input and output for high safety requirements of >3mm. Vishay Semiconductors CNY Series High Isolation Voltage Optocouplers are ideal for such applications as solar equipment, smart meters, and smart grids.                    

VOW3120 Widebody 2.5A IGBT and MOSFET Driver

Vishay VOW3120 Widebody 2.5A IGBT and MOSFET Drivers consist of an infrared light-emitting diode optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power output stage. These optocouplers are ideally suited for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs used in motor control and inverter applications. The high operating voltage range of the output stage provides the drive voltages required by gate-controlled devices. The voltage and current supplied by this optocoupler make the VOW3120 ideally suited for directly driving IGBTs with ratings up to 1200V/100A. For IGBTs with higher ratings, the VOW3120 can be used to drive a discrete power stage that drives the IGBT gate. The VOW3120 provides higher isolation for applications operating at higher working voltages, and or higher pollution degree criteria. Higher VIORM, VIOTM, creepage, and clearance distances make the Vishay VOW3120 Widebody 2.5A IGBT and MOSFET Drivers ideal for many industrial control and power conversion applications.

Optically Isolated MOSFET Drivers

Vishay Optically Isolated MOSFET Drivers provide the voltage required to drive the gate of a low-voltage MOSFET. The gate voltage is generated by photovoltaic cells, and no power supply is needed on the output side. This simplifies designs when using low-voltage MOSFETS. The single channel VOM1271T provides 8.4 V output voltage with an input forward current of just 10mA. The dual channel VO1263AACTR provides 14.5V output voltage.
