Allegro MicroSystems A4950 Full-Bridge DMOS PWM Motor Controllers

Allegro MicroSystems A4950 Full-Bridge DMOS PWM Motor Controllers are designed for pulse width modulated (PWM) control of DC motors and are capable of operating voltages to 40V. The provided internal terminals control the speed and direction of a DC motor with externally applied PWM control signals, and internal synchronous rectification control circuitry is provided to lower power dissipation during PWM operation. Various protections are provided for the internal circuits, including overcurrent, motor lead short-to-ground or -supply, thermal shutdown with hysteresis, and crossover current. The series include automotive options (A4950K), which are tested across extended temperature and voltage ranges to ensure compliance in automotive and industrial applications. Allegro MicroSystems A4950 WM Motor Controllers come in a low-profile 8-pin SOICN package with an exposed thermal pad.
