HVC27 High-Voltage Contactors

TDK HVC27 High-Voltage Contactors safely and reliably switch off continuous DC currents of 300A to 500A and operating DC voltages of up to 1000V in lithium-ion batteries in ≤20ms. This achievement is due to the gas-filled ceramic arc chamber. These high-current contactors are available with single or double coil and working voltages of 12V or 24V. The single-coil version requires 6W in continuous operation, and the dual-coil version only 4W. The service life for resistive opening (450V/300A) includes 1500 operations for the single-coil variant and 2000 operations for dual-coil devices. At 750V/300A, these values are 150 and 1000 opening cycles, respectively. An optional Hall-effect sensor for the auxiliary contact is used to detect the switching state of the main contacts. 

HVC27-500C-24P High-Voltage Contactor

TDK HVC27-500C-24P High-Voltage Contactor is gas-filled for high-voltage DC switching and operates in a -40°C to +85°C temperature range. This contactor features a single 24V coil, main terminals without polarity, a 1000VDC rated voltage, and a 500A rated current. TDK HVC27-500C-24P High-Voltage Contactor is suitable for traction battery systems, electrical energy storage systems (ESS), and DC fast-charging systems.

HVC High Voltage Contactors

TDK High Voltage Contactors (HVC) are designed to meet the requirements of high-voltage DC switching applications. The contactors are hermetically sealed for excellent reliability in harsh environments and provide high-speed arc extinguishing. The HVC series features a maximum operating voltage of up to 1000VDC and a high continuous operating current of up to 500A. TDK High Voltage Contactors can be used in a wide range of applications where fast and reliable switching operations are required.
