AUIR3241S Demonstration Board

Infineon Technologies AUIR3241S Demonstration Board (AUIR3241SBOARDB2BTOBO1) provides a reference circuit based on the AUIR3241S High Side MOSFET Driver. The Demonstration Board features the AUIR3241S in a semiconductor-based solution of a fail-safe/fail operational power switch for 12V automotive applications. The reference design has a back-to-back, N-channel MOSFET common source structure and allows mechanical relays to be replaced by cutting the current flow in both directions. Additionally, the back-to-back structure blocks current in case of a reverse battery situation. The MOSFET is protected against linear mode by the UVLO (Under-voltage lock-out) feature integrated into the driver. Analog and digital circuits are implemented to monitor the driver’s boost converter activity and detect gate-source leakage.
