VCSEL-Based Proximity Sensors

Vishay Semiconductors VCSEL-Based Proximity Sensors combine compact construction, low power consumption, and highly integrated optical functionality to enable precise distance‑sensing in consumer, industrial, and handheld applications. These devices integrate a vertical‑cavity surface‑emitting laser (VCSEL), proximity photodiodes, signal‑conditioning ICs, and an I²C interface within tiny surface‑mount packages. These features make VCSEL-based proximity sensors ideal for space‑constrained designs.
