Panasonic Industry PIR IR Motion Sensors
Panasonic Industry PIR Motion Sensors are passive infrared sensors that detect temperature changes (>4°C) in the surroundings and movement. With a wide sensing area, these low-profile devices are available in polyethylene (9.7mm) and silicon lenses (6mm). The Panasonic PIR motion sensors feature sleep mode, which allows for a low current consumption of 1µA. The EKMC series offers embedded circuit design and eliminates the need for external sensing circuits. These sensors detect changes in infrared radiation. This occurs when a person (or object) moves and has a different temperature from the surroundings. This sensor is well-suited for detecting people's motion based on their body temperatures over a wide sensing area. Typical applications include security devices, wireless devices, housing and commercial equipment, walkway and street lighting, and energy-saving home appliances.
