Texas Instruments ESD551/ESD551-Q1 Bidirectional ESD Diodes
Texas Instruments ESD551/ESD551-Q1 Bidirectional ESD Diodes protect power lines, low-speed data lines, and I/O ports against transient events. The one-channel devices provide IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 protection and IEC 61000-4-5 surge protection in a compact 0402 package. The device's low capacitance supports data-line protection for protocols such as RS232 and RS485.
The TI ESD551/ESD551-Q1 Diodes incorporate low dynamic resistance, low leakage current, and bidirectional operation for space-constrained designs. The automotive ESD551-Q1 adds AEC-Q101 qualification and ISO 10605 ESD protection. Applications include RS232, RS485, 12V power lines, and GPIO interfaces.
