ams OSRAM SIDELED™ SFH 4256B & SFH 4244B Infrared Emitters
ams OSRAM SIDELED™ SFH 4256B and SFH 4244B Infrared Emitters are side-emitting Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) LEDs with integrated reflector. These emitters feature a peak wavelength option of 860nm for high camera sensitivity, and 950nm for reduced red glow operation. The SIDELED SFH 4256B and SFH 4244B emitters provide a brighter image and increase lighting homogeneity, and reduce the drive current over previous generations. These AEC-Q102 LEDs produce a higher signal-to-noise ratio with reduced power consumption compared to previous-generation devices.
This provides longer standby time for battery operations and reduced thermal management requirements. With the development of the new thinfilm IR:6 chip technology, ams OSRAM increases the value of IR-based applications, producing brighter IR illumination for increased sensitivity and higher efficiency. Typical applications include access control and security, appliances and tools, display management, home and building automation, position and angle sensing, and factory automation.
