Analog Devices Inc. ADMV1555 Wideband I/Q Mixer
Analog Devices ADMV1555 Wideband I/Q Mixer implements surface-mount technology (SMT) in a land grid array (LGA) package. The ADMV1555 compact, in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) mixer can be used as either an image reject mixer or a single sideband upconverter. The ADMV1555 employs two standard double-balanced mixer cells and a 90° hybrid fabricated in a gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) process. The device needs no external components or matching circuitry.
The ADI ADMV1555 is a much smaller alternative to a hybrid-style image reject mixer and a single sideband upconverter assembly. The RoHS-compliant ADMV1555 eliminates the need for wire bonding, enabling the usage of surface-mount manufacturing techniques.
The ADMV1555 is housed in a compact, 5mm x 5mm, 20-terminal LGA package and operates from -40°C to +85°C.
