IXYS Integrated Circuits IXD0579M Gate Driver

IXYS Integrated Circuits IXD0579M Gate Driver is a high-frequency high-side and low-side gate driver with an integrated bootstrap diode. This integrated diode helps the floating high-side driver to switch up to 100V during bootstrap operation. This diode, along with its companion current limiting resistor, simplifies circuit and layout design, reduces PCB real estate demands, and reduces BOM count. The IXD0579M gate driver is capable of driving two N-channel MOSFETs in a half-bridge configuration. This gate driver features two Under Voltage Lockout (UVLO) detectors for high-side and low-side drivers. The IXD0579M driver delivers fast and well-matched propagation delays, that are crucial for the successful implementation of high-frequency switching designs. This gate driver is provided in a space-saving TDFN-10 package to support the compact PCB design. The IXD0579M gate driver is used in Brushless DC (BLDC) motor drivers, battery-powered hand tools, and DC/DC converters.
