Mikroe Ambient 3 Click
Mikroe Ambient 3 Click is a calibrated XYZ chromatic smart lighting director that provides measurement data in a digital format over an I2C interface. The Mikroe click uses an AS7225 miniature light sensor with UART and I2C interfaces. This calibrated-for-life nano-optic sensor provides direct CIE1931 XYZ and CIE 1976 u’v’ coordinate mapping.
A well-proven, integrated tristimulus sensing element is designed to meet the XYZ standard observer response that mimics the human eye and is extremely stable over operating temperature and time. The device contains a 16-bit integrated analog-to-digital converter, which absorbs current from the photodiodes. To ensure the integrity of the data upon completion of an integration cycle, results are transferred to double-buffered registers.
