Qorvo ACT88911 Integrated ActiveCiPS™ PMICs
Qorvo ACT88911 Integrated ActiveCiPS™ Power Management ICs (PMICs) are designed to support a wide range of processors, including video processors, FPGAs, peripherals, and microcontrollers. High flexibility allows reconfiguration via the I2C interface for multiple applications, without requiring PCB changes. With a low external component count and extensive configurability, the Qorvo ACT88911 PMICs significantly accelerate time-to-market. Configurable parameters include output voltage, startup time, slew rate, sequencing, switching frequency, sleep modes, and operating modes. Each ACT88911 device ships with a factory-programmed default configuration, which can be optimized for specific designs through I2C. Multiple default configurations are available.
All buck and buck-boost regulators use ACOT control architecture for optimized transient response with small inductors (0.22µH to 0.47µH) and compact output capacitors. Buck 1 and Buck 2 support dual-phase operation for up to 10A typical/12A peak currents. LDOs and LSWs require only small ceramic capacitors. All outputs are fully configurable via I2C.
The ACT88911 also includes 12 configurable GPIOs, which can serve as enable signals for external regulators, interrupts, PWREN, DVS control, LED drivers, push buttons, and more. For LED control, these PMICs support single/double blink and breathing modes with adjustable drive current. The Qorvo ACT88911 PMICs are offered in a compact 3.76mm × 4.16mm, 90-ball WLCSP package.
