Texas Instruments TPS2549/TPS2549-Q1 USB Charging Port Controller
Texas Instruments TPS2549/TPS2549-Q1 USB Charging Port Controller is a USB charging port controller and power switch with a current-sense output that can control an upstream supply. This feature allows the device to maintain 5V at the USB port even with heavy charging currents. This feature is important in systems with long USB cables where significant voltage drops can occur while fast-charging portable devices. The TP2549/TPS2549-Q1 47mΩ power switch has two selectable, programmable current limits that support port power management by providing a lower current limit. This feature can be used when adjacent ports are experiencing heavy loads. This feature is important in systems with multiple ports and an upstream supply unable to provide full current to all ports simultaneously. The Texas Instruments TPS2549-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.Features
