The FGH100M module provides Sub-1 GHz long-range wireless data transmission for both indoor and outdoor Internet of Things (IoT) applications, with low power consumption and ten times the range of traditional Wi-Fi for industrial automation, mobile devices, smart agriculture, smart cities, smart buildings, point-of-sale applications and more.
The Quectel FGH100M module, available from Mouser, utilizes the IEEE 802.11ah wireless networking protocol, also known as Wi-Fi HaLow, to operate in the license-exempt Sub-1 GHz range between 850 MHz to 950 MHz to enhance the unique requirements of IoT applications by expanding smart networks with 1/2/4/or 8 MHz channel width, 21 dBm maximum output power, encryption algorithms, and a 32.5 Mbps theoretical maximum transmission rate. The device's signal coverage enables users to control IoT devices in a radius of up to 1 km.
The FGH100M module's ultra-compact size (13.0 mm x 13.0 mm x 2.2 mm) optimizes end-product size and design cost while fully meeting the demands of size-sensitive applications, with a durable and robust surface-mount LGA package to ensure reliable connectivity and easy embedding into size-constrained applications. The FGH100M's wide -30°C to +85°C operating temperature range and interfaces (including UART, SPI, I2C, SDIO 2.0, and PWM) make it an easy choice for the most demanding IoT applications.
