The SST Sensing Axiom series refrigerant infrared gas detectors, now available at Mouser, are UL60335-2-40 and IEC60335-2-40 certified, supporting new regulations aimed at reducing the global warming potential (GWP) associated with emissions of refrigerants used in air conditioners and heat pumps. The Axiom detector series includes detectors for flammable (A3, A2, and A2L) and non-flammable (A1) refrigerants, including R32, R454B, R454C, R290 (propane), R1270 (propylene), and R744 (carbon dioxide). The refrigerant infrared gas detectors deliver fail-safe operation, are immune to poisoning, and feature enhanced EMC protection to maintain accuracy in challenging environmental applications. Each refrigerant infrared gas detector contains all the necessary optics, electronics, and firmware to provide a linearized, temperature-compensated output. An IP68-rated USB-C™ connector allows for off-the-shelf cabling options.
