Texas Instruments LM5150RUMHDEVM Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments LM5150RUMHDEVM Evaluation Module supplies a minimum voltage from a vehicle battery during cranking. This demonstrates a high-density layout design example using the LM5150 Wide VIN Automotive Low IQ Boost Controller IC. 5V is required at start-up, then the input voltage drops to 3.2V or raises to 40V. Additionally, the LM5150RUMHDEVM offers a minimum of 6.8V at load current and up to 1.1A (continuous) and 2.2A (peak). The device automatically goes into low IQ standby mode when the input/output voltage is high enough to guarantee a minimum of 6.8V at the output.

Features

  • 3.2V to 40V input voltage range (5V is required to start-up)
  • 6.8V target output voltage when input voltage drops below the target
  • Up to 2.2A output current (1.1A continuous, 2.2A peak)
  • 440kHz typical switching frequency
  • 2.2MHz typical switching frequency
